The boardwalk runs from the eastern edge of New Westminster Pier Park [which ends just before the Patullo Bridge] to the western end of Waterfront Esplanade and Park, around 2.6 kilometers in length.
All along the way, one can read facts about the Fraser River via the information boards provided by the Fraser River Discovery Center that are strategically placed along the railings of the boardwalk. The river view is engaging and the plants one encounters throughout the walk are a visual delight.
